Incentives and Rebates

Many state and federally funded incentives and rebates are available to propane customers who are looking to purchase or retrofit equipment. Delta Liquid Energy can help find the right incentive program for you! Propane industry organizations such as the Western Propane Gas Association (WPGA), the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA), and the Propane Education and Research Council (PERC) provide money to propane consumers. Additionally, air quality boards, local clean cities coalitions, and the federal government will offer money to consumers looking to lower their carbon footprint and include cleaner energy in their mix. Home Energy Efficient Tax Credits & Rebates

To encourage customers to buy energy efficient products, ENERGY STAR partners occasionally offer special offers, such as sales tax exemptions, credits, or rebates on qualified products. Partners also occasionally sponsor recycling incentives for the proper disposal of old products. Click here to search to find such special offers or rebates where they exist, based on information that partners submit to ENERGY STAR.

Rebates Offered by The Western Propane Gas Association (WPGA)

The Western Propane Gas Association focuses on advocacy for propane users in California. This organizations works with propane professionals all over the state to bring this reliable, clean fuel to homes and businesses throughout California. Two programs currently being offered by the WPGA are listed below.

Safe Appliance Installation Rebate

The Western Propane Education & Research Council rebate program includes rebates for the safe installation of propane powered clothes dryers, furnaces, hearth appliances, fireplace inserts, stoves, ovens, cooktops, water heaters, and standby generators that replace non-propane models. Propane Forklift Safety Incentive

Incentives are available to California propane customers that purchase a new propane forklift or retrofit an existing forklift with a California Air Resources board-approved device. Propane companies and their employees are not eligible to receive rebates. Rebates Offered by The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD)

As stated on their website, the SJVAPCD, “develops and administers a comprehensive suite of highly-successful voluntary incentive programs targeted at reducing harmful emissions throughout the Valley. These innovative programs provide an opportunity for Valley residents, businesses, public agencies and other organizations to get involved and make a positive impact on the Valley’s air quality.” Delta Liquid Energy services customers within this air district in communities such as Farmersville, Bakersfield, Lake Isabella, Tehachapi, and beyond. Here are some of the incentive programs currently being offered by this air district:

Clean Vehicle Fueling Infrastructure Program

This program offers funding for the construction of new, renovation of existing, or expansion of existing clean fuel refueling infrastructure. This includes propane refueling infrastructure! Applicants can be either a public or private entity. More information can be found here.

Truck Replacement Program

Companies that wish to replace their diesel fueled trucks can apply for funding through this program. Monetary awards vary in size depending on the replacement vehicle chosen. Propane powered low NOx and ultra-low NOx engines can receive funding up to $100,000. Diesel vehicles must be fully replaced in order to be eligible, retrofits cannot receive money. Burn Cleaner Fireplace and Wood Stove Change Out

This program allows residents of the Air District the opportunity to switch out their wood or pellet stove for a cleaner propane model. Residents must be approved through the program prior to purchasing their new equipment and funding amounts vary depending on the equipment chosen by the homeowner. Rebates Offered by the Air Pollution Control District of San Luis Obispo County

Woodsmoke Reduction Program

This program offers incentives to SLO County residents to replace their current wood burning stove with a new, efficient, and clean burning propane model. Particulate matter from wood burning or pellet burning stoves can cause serious health risks such as asthma and other respiratory issues. The Woodsmoke Reduction Program gives preference to low income residents during the first sixty days applications are accepted, however, anyone is eligible to apply. Residents can receive up to $1,800 to replace a stove and up to $2,000 to replace a fireplace with propane models.

Delta Liquid Energy offers a plan that allows our customers to reduce their price per gallon by ten cents on each delivery that is paid for in full within 15 days of said delivery.
